今年正值共建“一带一路”倡议十周年，第五届海上丝绸之路国际艺术节也如期而至。源于汉代的陆上丝绸之路，以及源于汉代并快速发展于宋元的海上丝绸之路，是古老的贸易路线，它们连接了东西方文明。2013年由中国国家主席习近平分别提出的“新丝绸之路经济带”和“21世纪海上丝绸之路”是现代的区域合作平台，它们促进了中国和多边国家的和平发展。
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Inititive, and the 5th Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival meets us right on schedule. The Silk Road, which originated during the Han Dynasty, together with the Maritime Silk Road, which originated also in the Han Dynasty and prospered in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, were ancient trade routes that connected civilizations between the East and the West. The "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" proposed in 2013 by Chinese President Xi Jinping are modern platforms for regional cooperation, promoting peaceful development between China and multilateral countries.
“五星出东方利中国”是在新疆尼雅遗址出土的汉代织锦，它见证了古代丝绸之路的悠久历史，也反映了当时的繁荣经济。锦以蓝色为地，饰以祥禽瑞兽纹样，茱萸花纹、云气纹、太阳太阴穿插其中，展示了中国传统文化、哲学思想和审美观念的精髓。
The "Five Stars Rising in the East Benefit China" is a Han Dynasty brocade unearthed from the Niya Ruins in Xinjiang, China. It bears witness to the long history of the ancient Silk Road and reflects the economic prosperity of that time. The brocade has a blue background adorned with auspicious bird and animal patterns, with motifs of zhuyu flowers and cloud designs, with the sun and moon intertwined decoration, showcasing the essence of Chinese traditional culture, philosophical thoughts, and aesthetics.
本次展览以“五星出东方”为主题，以跨时空的叙事方式呈现了来自丝绸之路沿线不同国家和地区艺术家们（作品国别包括中国、阿根廷、埃及、奥地利、比利时、波兰、哥伦比亚、韩国、荷兰、加拿大、美国、孟加拉、土耳其、希腊、意大利、印度、英国、智利等）的数百件作品，作品涵盖国画、油画、版画等多种艺术形式。国内外艺术家们承古拓今，精湛的技艺跨越了时间的界限。作品从传统到现代，从写实到抽象，多元化的视觉范式打破了地域的边界。艺术家们以差异性的艺术语言，在海上丝绸之路重要节点城市、宋元中国的世界海洋商贸中心——泉州，谱写了“文化相连、精神相系、情感相依的美好故事”。
This exhibition, themed "Five Stars Rising in the East," presents several hundreds works by artists from countries and regions along both the Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Rode, using a narrative approach that transcends time and space. The works cover various art forms such as traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Artists from both domestic and international backgrounds carry forward the past to the present, demonstrating exquisite skills that excel the boundaries of time. The works span from traditional to modern, from realism to abstraction, and the diverse visual paradigms break through geographical limitations. Through their diverse artistic languages, in the crucial node city of the Maritime Silk Road, in Quanzhou: Emporium of the World in Song Yuan China, the artists compose a beautiful story of "cultural connection, spiritual bond, and emotional interdependence."
“五星出东方‘一带一路’国际美术大展”以其独特的主题和跨时空的视野，将我们引入一场令人难忘的艺术盛会。纵观展览，我们回顾历史，了解各个时代和文化的交流与融合；凝视当下，深思艺术与文化的多元性和包容性；展望未来，打造“政治互信、经济融合、文化包容的利益共同体、命运共同体和责任共同体”。
The "Five Stars Rising in the East: The Belt and Road International Fine Arts Exhibition", with its unique theme and transcendent perspective, takes us into an unforgettable art festival. Throughout the exhibition, we revisit history, understand the exchanges and integration of different eras and cultures; we contemplate the diversity and inclusiveness of art and culture in the present; and we look forward to the future, aiming to build "a community of shared interests, shared future, and shared responsibility on the bases of mutual political trust, economic integration, and cultural inclusion".
在国际美术大展开幕当天，还将邀请艺术、文学、政治、经济、旅游等领域国内外知名专家和学者出席，搭建全球艺术对话交流平台，共同探讨海上丝绸之路文化艺术的历史传承与当代表达。展览向全球各国艺术家征集艺术作品，展览面积近两千平方米，是近年来我市最大规模的国际美术大展，规格极高，意义重大。
